Koh Mak Island Koh Chang Island, Thailand

Koh Mak is one of Thailand's secret treasures, situated in the Marine National Park in eastern Thailand . Besides, Koh Mak is the biggest private island in Thailand. The island is 16 square kilometers and is located in the Gulf of Thailand, between Koh Chang and Koh Kood. Together with 50 additional small islands, Koh Mak is an ideal destination for all travelers who desire beautiful and tropical surroundings unspoiled by mass tourism.

Amongst 10,000 palm trees, there's a temple, three fishing community villages, rubber plantations, two uninhabited beaches, a primary school, a market, a health centre, three diving schools, few shops, two internet café's, and thirteen small, unassuming resorts.

Just a few kilometres south of Koh Chang yet a million miles from its heavy urbanisation lies Koh Mak, undoubtedly an overlooked gem in Thailand's lavish crown. A tropical haven for those who like the quiet life, it has so far escaped the grasp of the major developers and remains a small slice of paradise locked in time.

Koh Mak is the perfect place to relax, explore, calm your mind and soothe your senses.
