Chiang Saen, Thailand
Chiang Saen is a district in the northern part of Chiang Rai Province, northern Thailand. Chiang saen is the oldest city in Chiang Rai province and is located in the south of the Golden Triangle.
Chiang Saen has a city wall surrounding the historic city like Chiang Mai
and it borders to the Mekong River. From here it is just a boat trip to
Lao People's Democratic Republic which is an official border crossing
for Thai and Lao citizens travelling by ferry to and from the Laos.
